The Ashford boat shuttles work well for weaving on table, floor, and rigid heddle looms. Made of solid silver beech hardwood with a lacquered finish. Each comes with one bobbin. Additional bobbins are sold in packs of 10. The weft yarn gets wound onto a bobbin that the shuttle then carries through the weaving shed. It is helpful to have a bobbin winder, both metal and wooden are available, however some folks make do with a hand drill and a bit of ingenuity. The Ashford Nylon bobbins work for both sizes of boat shuttles.

Please note that the interior diameter for the hole in Ashford Bobbins is quite small and may not work with all bobbin winders.
