Weaving Classes 

I often teach weaving classes at the Brookfield Craft Center, in Brookfield, CT. BCC is housed in a collection of historic buildings that once served as a mill. The fiber studio is located on the bank of the Still River, with plenty if windows and light, it is a rather idyllic weaving space. I offer classes on rigid heddle looms (we use Ashford rigid heddle looms), as well as introductory classes weaving on floor looms. Class sizes usually range from 3-6 students. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required by everyone taking classes on campus. At this time (Winter 2023/24) wearing a mask in class is optional for students.

Private Lessons

FULL - Floor Loom - Doubleweave Sampler: Intermediate/advanced: Saturday, Sept 6th & Sunday, Sept 7th. 9 am-5 pm.

FULL - Floom Loom: All levels. 6 Sessions. Wednesdays, 10 am - 1 pm. Sept 10th - Oct 15th.

FULL - Rigid Heddle Weaving: All levels. 4 sessions. Wednesdays 2 pm - 5 pm. Sept 10th - Oct 1st.

FULL - Floor Loom Weaving: All Levels. 6 Sessions. Tuesdays, 2-5 pm. Nov 11th - Dec 16th.

FULL - Rigid Heddle - Doubleweave Blanket: Intermediate/advanced. Saturday, Nov 22nd, and Sunday, Nov 23rd. 9 am - 1 pm.

Weave a Scarf on a Floor Loom: Beginner/Intermediate. 2 sessions, December 4th & 11th. 9 am-5 pm each day. Class will be held at the Five Points Arts in Torrington, CT.

Beginner Rigid Heddle: 2 Sessions. Tuesdays, February 24th and March 3rd. 9:30 am - 1 pm. Hartford Artisan Weaving Center, in Hartford, CT.
