Deposits for custom blankets will be open until June 30th or until capacity is reached. Whichever comes first. They will be ready to ship by the end of July, if not sooner.

This listing is for a 50% up-front deposit on a pre-order for a custom Lace Throw Blanket. Once your blanket is complete and ready to ship, pictures of the finished piece will be sent, along with an invoice for the remaining balance plus shipping. All of the blankets will be woven with a warp (the yarn that runs vertically) of natural dark brown color grown cotton. The weft yarn (the yarn that runs horizontally) will all be hand-dyed to a colorway of your choosing. Once a deposit has been made, I will reach out via email to discuss colors and to request any color inspiration photos you may have. These blankets will all be woven in a design that features an outer border of plain weave, a second border of spot lace, and an inner panel of Bronson lace. Though these weave structures are called laces, they have a closed web and a hardy, yet soft hand with a nice drape. Each blanket is woven with a unique hand-dyed skein of yarn. Due to the way the yarn is dyed, it is always a bit of a surprise to both the weaver and the buyer exactly how the colors will pool and/or stripe. That is part of the fun.

Fibers: Color-grown cotton, hand-dyed cotton, and cotton slub (for a bit of texture) yarn. All grown and spun in the USA. The weft yarn will be dyed using Jacquard fiber-reactive dyes.

Dimensions: Approximately 72” long by 51” wide. Plus 1.5”—4” on each end if hemstitched fringe or twisted fringe is chosen.

Care: Machine wash and dry on cool gentle cycle, or hand wash and air dry. These blankets are pre-washed and pre-shrunk; however, additional shrinkage may occur if washed and dried on hot settings.
